Pride in Action, Southern IL PRIDE Events
June 7 - June 11
Friday, June 7th – opening Reception at the Varsity Center
5:30 pm Cocktail hour, featuring photo retrospective and speakers Billy Rogers of Golden Rainbows, Il South, and Carbondale City Councilperson, Clare Killman
7:30 pm Pride in Action, Southern Il Royalty Pageant, $20 admission
Saturday, June 8th – Pride March and Cruise Staging and car decorating for the Cruise will take place in the lot behind the Varsity Center, 418 S. Il Ave., at 9:15 am.
We will gather at the steps of City Hall, just a few blocks down at
200 S. Il Ave., at 10 am. Speakers begin at 10:15 am Speakers including Christina Rivelli of the Human Rights Campaign, Councilperson Clare Killman and Jackson County State’s Attorney Joe Cervantez will kick off our march.
June 8th, 6:30 pm – Pride Spectacular, The Varsity Center featuring RuPaul Alumni, Milk Pride in Action, Southern Il Royalty Court Debut, with full cast including RuPaul Alumni, Milk.
The Varsity Bar and doors open at 6, with the VIP meet and greet beginning at 6:30. The show begins at 7:30. Tickets are VIP $35, General Admission $25, General Admission: $15. Must be 18+ to enter.

Sunday, June 11 – PK’s Drag Brunch, 11am – 3pm No cover; open seating. 21+ to enter
