90’s Kidz fundraiser

Marion Elks Community Projects, Inc. (MECPI), a 501c3 organization, will be hosting a 90’s Kidz Band
fundraiser on Sept. 3, 2022 to support our mission to serve area Veterans in our community. We are
asking for assistance in sponsorship to aide us in start-up fees for this event. All funds raised will go
toward our Veterans Support Programs. Marion Elks Veterans Committee works closely with the
Marion VA Hospital and Haven House. Clothing, food, housing, and adaptive equipment have all been
purchased through our fundraising projects. This is a direct mission and something that is at the core of
our outreach efforts for southern Illinois.
We will solicit volunteers from Marion High School, John A. Logan College and Southern Illinois
University to assist with coordinating, advertising, and working this event. Volunteer activities will be
documented and recorded for the Marion Elks as well as the students who want to include in their
portfolio’s, college admission applications and resumes. Due to the unforeseen Corona virus, Marion
Elks fundraising opportunities were interrupted. We have continued to help those in need as we were
able. However, we need to push forward and set new goals that will allow us to continue our mission to
serve residents.
