John A. Logan College men's basketball coach Tyler Smithpeters joined Dave McKenzie on Talkin Vols Sports Tuesday night to discuss a big win at Lincoln Trail this past week and an even bigger game this Saturday against #4 Vincennes.
The Carterville Lions shocked Pinckneyville 25-22, 22-25, 25-19 Thursday night to claim the 2A Carterville Regional Championship. Coach Nathan Emrick spoke with Dave McKenzie after the huge win and collecting the program's 32nd win of the season - a program record:

The Murphysboro Red Devils got a nice surprise last Saturday when pairings were announced. The 6-3 Red Devils were gifted a home game as the #7 team in the 4A bracket. Coach Gary Carter spoke with Matt Varney about their opponent, #10 Macomb, and the past few weeks for the Red Devils:
