Saluki football coach Nick Hill spoke to media on Monday.  He and Matt Varney talked about the evolution of the team's run defense and this week's homecoming game against #1 South Dakota State University.

Carterville coach Brett Diel is hoping his team can repeat their Week 9 performance against Harrisburg as the Lions gear up to face the Bulldogs for the second week in a row - this time in the postseason.  Voice of the Lions, Dave McKenzie, caught up with Coach Diel before Saturday's game:

The Carterville Lions impressed last week with wins over Vienna and Herrin.  That earned them the Team of the Week award.  The Lions also earned the #1 seed at the Eldorado Holiday Tournament with those wins.  Matt Varney and Coach Shane Hawkins discussed the big win over Herrin and the top seed at this year's EHT on this week's podcast.
