Thursday night Herrin's school board hired Stephanie Allen as their next athletic director, marking the first time the Herrin Athletic Department will be headed up by a woman. Herrin High School girls basketball coach Chris Roberts said Tuesday he is stepping away from his position after 5 seasons with the Tigers. Herrin finished 16-14 this season and captured the West Frankfort Mid-Winter Classic last month. Assistant coach Mike Mooneyham is also stepping aside:
