Casey Middle School in Mt. Vernon is the latest school that was the subject of a bomb threat.

A 13-year old was arrested by Mt. Vernon Police Monday and school officials say they will be pressing charges.

Sesser-Valier Schools were shut down yesterday and resume classes this morning after a threat was called in Sunday evening.

Police are still investigating a bomb threat written on a bathroom stall in Mt. Vernon High School which was found one week ago. Anyone with information regarding this threat is encouraged to contact the Mt. Vernon Police Department at 618-242-2131.
