Congressman Mike Bost will kick off his bid for re-election later today, and hold events later this week.

Bost will first announced his bid for re-election in Alton this morning, and will head to Fairview Heights tonight.

Bost also has a campaign dinner and rally scheduled in Murphysboro at the Elks Lodge on Thursday night.

Bost does not face a primary challenger, but will take on C.J. Baricevic, a Belleville labor attorney in the general election in November.
