A professor of mining and mineral resources engineering at SIU is receiving an award for his work with solid fuels.

Professor Paul Chugh will receive the 2015 Percy Nicholls Award from the Society for Mining, Metallurgy, and Exploration in February.

Chugh is being recognized for his over 50-year career as an educator.
