Credit ratings have been lowered at six Illinois universities because of the budget standoff in Springfield.

 

Moody’s Investors Service has downgraded ratings for Eastern Illinois, Governors State, Northeastern Illinois, Northern Illinois, Southern Illinois and Western Illinois universities.

 

The state is about to enter its fifth month without a spending plan.
