A new man is at the helm at John A. Logan College. At a meeting last night, the JALC Board of Trustees voted to approve the resignation of President Mike Dreith 5 votes to 2.

College officials say that both Dreith and the Board agreed that it was in the best interest of both parties that the resignation be accepted.

At that same meeting, the College Board then voted to hire Dr. Ron House of Benton as interim President of JALC by that same 5-2 count.

Dr. House recently served as Director of Land Management for the IL Department of Natural Resources, and was also Executive Director of the World Shooting Complex in Sparta.
