As we enter a new month, a state budget has still yet to be passed, and now facilities are beginning to close down.

Shooting events at the World Shooting Complex in Sparta have been cancelled and the campgrounds at the complex have been closed.

The Illinois State Museum and its associated facilities have also been closed, including the Southern Illinois Art Museum at Rend Lake.

A remedy for these closures appears to still be far off, as the General Assembly meets again on October 20th.
