Governor Bruce Rauner says he wants the Illinois State Fair to be about celebrating “the great state of Illinois and all that makes us proud.”

 

Rauner wouldn’t answer questions Friday about the agricultural showcase going ahead even though there’s no state budget.

 

Rauner and Democrats in the Legislature continue to feud over a state budget that was supposed to take effect a month and a half ago.
