WASHINGTON, D.C. (WJPF) – Congressman Mike Bost will serve as Chairman of the US House Committee on Veterans Affairs for another two years.

It’s Bost’s second two-year term as chairman following one term as ranking member of the committee.

According to Bost’s office, the Murphysboro native served in the Marines from 1979 to 1982. He was trained as an electronic specialist and radar repairman and received an honorable discharge as a Corporal E-4.
