Former John A. Logan center Jamarion Sharp was signed to a one-year contract with the Dallas Mavericks on Saturday.
Sharp competed with the Mavs during the NBA’s Summer League.
The 7’5 big man averaged 2.6 points, 4.6 rebounds, and 2.6 blocks in five games. He shot 66.7% from the field and started in four of the five games he played in.
Sharp joins former teammate Jay Scrubb in the NBA, who recently signed an Exhibit 10 contract with the Boston Celtics. Scrubb is recovering from a torn ACL suffered from before the start of last season.
After his time at John A. Logan College, Sharp went to play two years at Western Kentucky before wrapping up his collegiate career at Ole Miss this past season.
