BUCKNER, Ill. (WJPF) – A Franklin County man has been jailed for firing a gun during a domestic dispute.

Police say they were called to a home in Buckner around 9:40 p.m. Saturday after Cody Crews, 29, discharged a firearm.  No one was reported to be hurt, and police say Crews had put down the gun by the time officers arrived.

During a court hearing Monday, Cody Crews was denied pretrial release. As of Tuesday morning, he remained in the Franklin County Jail on charges of domestic battery and reckless discharge of a firearm.
