CARBONDALE, Ill. (WJPF) — The City of Carbondale announced Wednesday that Chief of Police Stan Reno has been appointed Interim City Manager, effective April 1, 2024.

Reno takes over for Gary Williams, who is resigning from the City Manager role after eight years on the job. 

In addition to consideration of this appointment, the Carbondale City Council will discuss the process to find a permanent City
Manager at their March 26th meeting.
