Matt Varney met with new John A. Logan College women's basketball coach Charlie Jones Wednesday morning and discussed with Coach Jones his journey to becoming Logan's women's basketball head coach, breaking barriers at JALC, what he thinks he has in the current roster, and more:

Centralia native and John A. Logan Baseball star Cruz Harlan committed to the College World Series runner-up Coastal Carolina on Saturday.  Matt Varney and Logan Baseball coach Kyle Suprenant talked about Harlan's commitment.

Carbondale boys basketball coach Jim Miller is ready to begin prowling the sidelines after retiring back in 2021.  He and the Terriers tip off the season tonight at the Roxana Hoopsgiving Classic vs. Bethalto Civic Memorial at 6pm.
