WILLIAMSON COUNTY, Ill. (WJPF) – A woman is facing aggravated battery charges in Williamson County.

On February 11, deputies responded to a report of a female, armed with a knife on East Jefferson Street in Creal Springs.

Upon arrival, deputies found a female, identified as Jessica Ford, with a knife laying on the ground near her and concealing an 18” pipe under her dress.

The residents locked Ford out of the house and called 911 when Ford had come to the residence and began striking the front door.

Deputies had learned Ford had recently been released from the Williamson County Jail and was ordered to stay away from the home as a condition of her pretrial release.

Deputies successfully removed the knife and used a taser to get her to drop the pipe after asking her to drop it multiple times. Ford resisted arrest but was taken into custody.

Ford faces charges of Aggravated Battery to a Peace Officer, Resisting or Obstructing a Peace Officer, and Violation of Conditions of Pretrial Release.

Ford remains in custody in the Williamson County Jail.
