Coach of the Volunteers, Tyler Smithpeters, joined Talkin Vols on Tuesday.  The Vols opened the year at Three Rivers College with an 0-2 record.  Coach Smithpeters talked with Dave McKenzie about the start to the year.

The Johnston City Indians bounced back from an overtime loss in Week 8 with a big 38-6 win at Carmi-White County in Week 9.  Matt Varney spoke with Johnston City head coach Todd Thomas about the bounce back and Saturday's playoff game against Auburn.

The Carterville Lions qualified for the postseason last week against Madison but are hoping to guarantee themselves a seat at the table Friday night with a game against the winless Pinckneyville Panthers.  Coach Brett Diel talks with Dave McKenzie:
