A woman is dead after being hit by a semi at a Rest Area in Franklin County.

72-year old Haley Olaphan was walking across a parking lot when she was hit by a 2000 Kenworth Semi being driven by 73-year old William Lorentz of Alberta, Canada.

Olaphan was taken to the Franklin County Hospital where she was pronounced dead.

Lorentz has yet to be charged, given that the investigation of the incident is ongoing.
