WILSON CITY, Mo. (WJPF) – A small earthquake has rattled the New Madrid Seismic Zone.

The 2.6 magnitude quake hit at 11:07 p.m. Tuesday near Wilson City, Missouri – a small town about 10 miles southwest of Cairo, Illinois.

Earthquakes less than a 3 on the Richter Scale are usually not able to be felt by humans.
