Celebration of Scouting

Local Boy and Girl Scout troops will commemorate the lives of Dr. Andrew Springs, founder of the first African American Boy Scout troop in the nation, and Julia Harrison Bruce, organizer of the Herrin Girl Scouts and Camp Cedar Point benefactor.
