NASON, Ill. (WJPF) – A Jefferson County man is behind bars in connection to a non-fatal shooting.
The Jefferson County Sheriff’s Office says on Friday, August 4, Leif Booker, 25, of Nason, shot Jerry Collins, 55, with a shotgun at a home in the 300 block of 9th Street in Nason. Collins was taken to the hospital with a non-life threatening injury. Booker fled the scene, but turned himself in Monday afternoon.
Leif Booker faces a charge of aggravated battery with a firearm.
