CARBONDALE Ill. (WJPF) – A man has been sentenced in connection with a murder investigation in Carbondale.

20 year old Keon Foulks of Carbondale, was sentenced to 18 years in the Illinois Department of Corrections for second-degree murder with an additional two years to be served consecutively for a probation violation.

The sentence comes after a death investigation inn January of this year. Police responded to the 800 block of East Grand Avenue where officers found 26 year old Robert Delmore Jr., dead from a gunshot wound. Foulks was identified as the suspect and arrested that day.
