Marion City Councilman Angelo Hightower has dropped a lawsuit against the city.
The lawsuit was over alleged racial discrimination after the police officer was not promoted to Lieutenant.
Despite this suit being dropped, Hightower also faces a legal battle over whether or not he can work as a police officer while also working on the City Council.
A hearing on that issue will be held at the Williamson County Courthouse on June 2nd.
