Carterville native Luke Ford is getting another shot at a professional football career. Ford was picked up by the San Antonio Brahmas on Tuesday.

Ford was a star for the Carterville Loins as a tight end and continued down that path in college at Georgia and Illinois. Interestingly, Ford is listed as a wide receiver on the Brahmas’ transaction report.
The Brahmas finished with a 3-7 record in 2023.
