CARBONDALE, Ill. (WJPF) – An 18-year-old has been arrested after he kidnapped an underage girl from Carbondale.

Carbondale Police say Chrishon Sawyer abducted the girl around 4:00 p.m. Thursday from the 200 block of North Wall Street.  She was found about an hour later with minor injuries, not serious enough to require hospitalization.  Police say the girl knew her kidnapper.

Chrishon Sawyer was taken to the Jackson County jail on charges of kidnapping, domestic battery, and unlawful restraint.
