INA, Ill. (WJPF) – One person was killed, another seriously injured, in a crash involving two tractor-trailers on Interstate 57.
It happened around 11:00 p.m. Friday near Ina. Illinois State Police say a southbound truck crossed the median and hit a northbound truck head-on. The crash caused both trucks to catch fire and shut the interstate down for about 12 hours.
One driver died at the scene, the other was flown to a regional hospital with serious injuries. The names of those involved have not been released.
