The Williamson County Highway Department is notifying the public of an upcoming road closure.

Thompsonville Road will be closed to all traffic just north of Locust Grove Road beginning at 8am on Tuesday April 11th, to construct a new railroad crossing.

A signed detour will be provided along Locust Grove Road, Crawford Road in Williamson County and Kimmel Road in Franklin County.

This closure is part of a larger project that will include roadway improvements to the curves north of the new railroad crossing later this year.

The road closure is expected to last around 2 weeks.
