A man is behind bars and has been charged with aggravated battery after two people were stabbed at the H.S. Shelter Care facility in Tamms.

Two Illinois State Troopers and one Tamms Police Officer were able to make it inside the building, and apprehended the suspect with no further incident.

The suspect, 41-year old Jule Woods was taken to the Tri-County Detention Center in Ullin where he is being held pending his first court appearance.

The two stabbing victims were taken to a local hospital for treatment.
