CARBONDALE, Ill. (WJPF) – Southern Illinois’ largest healthcare provider has named a new president and CEO.

John Antes, currently the President of the Missouri Baptist Medical Center, will take the reins at Southern Illinois Healthcare effective December 12, 2022. Antes takes over from Rex Budde, who had previously announced his intention to retire at the end of the year.

According to SIH, Antes is a member of the American College of Health Executives. He holds a master’s degree in health administration from Washington University and a bachelor’s degree in business administration from Memphis State University.
