ZEIGLER, Ill. (WJPF) – A man suspected in multiple thefts in Franklin County is now behind bars.

Zeigler Police say they were called to home Friday for a burglary in progress. When officers arrived, they saw Derik Parrish run out of the back door of the home and into a nearby patch of woods. After a short search, Parrish was found and taken into custody.

Derik Parrish has been charged with home invasion and residential burglary; his bond was set at $200,000. Parrish is also a suspect in several other recent home burglaries and catalytic converter thefts.
