The Nashville Hornets remain the team to beat in the latest John A. Logan SI Basketball Coaches’ Poll, with Centralia still right behind them. For the second week in a row, Centralia received more first place votes but was unable to overcome the Hornets in the vote total.
The Murphysboro Red Devils continue to impress, rising to #3 and receiving a first place vote to boot, leap frogging the Pinckneyville Panthers – a game that could very well happy Wednesday at noon in the Duster Thomas Hoops Classic if both teams win Tuesday’s games.
The Hamilton County Foxes booted the Herrin Tigers out of the top 10 for their first appearance in the rankings.
