EAST CAPE GIRARDEAU, Ill. (WJPF) – One person was killed in a Christmas night traffic accident involving a pedestrian.

It happened at about 10:36 in East Cape Girardeau at the intersection of Route 146 and Levee Road.

State police say Tommie Willis, 64, of Cape Girardeau was walking in the road when he was hit by a car driven by Sacha Brown, 39, of McClure. Willis was killed.

The investigation is ongoing.
