CARBONDALE, Ill. (WJPF) — Nearly 1,000 people are believed to have been affected by a data breach involving SIH.

The hospital system says Consociate Health, a third party benefits plan administrator, recently reported the data breach. 982 current and former SIH employees and covered family members could be affected. The data breach spans January 1, 2014 – December 31, 2015. Names, addresses, dates of birth, social security numbers, and medical records could have been exposed. Consociate Health says they have no evidence the information has yet been misused.
