WEST CITY, Ill. (WJPF) – Two people were arrested following a DUI-related crash in West City.

West City Police say at about 7:50 p.m. Wednesday, Ryan Hickman, 32 of West Frankfort, ran a red light at the intersection Route 14 and Central Street, causing an accident.

Hickman was charged with Driving Under the Influence, Illegal Transportation of Alcohol, and Disobeying a Traffic Control Device. A passenger is Hickman’s vehicle, Vincent Riddle, was also arrested on an outstanding Franklin County warrant.

The driver and a passenger in the vehicle hit by Hickman were taken to a local hospital.
