CARBONDALE, Ill. (WJPF) — Rapid response vaccination teams will get to work Thursday in Carbondale.
Vaccination clinics will be set up at the SIU student center. The Johnson and Johnson and Pfizer versions of the vaccine will be available. No appointment is necessary and any member of the community can get the vaccine at these clinics.
SIU requested the special vaccine clinics following Governor JB Pritzker’s recent order mandating, in part, that all higher education staff and students either receive the vaccine by September 5 or get tested weekly.
The free clinic is open Thursday from 8:00 a.m. – 6:00 p.m., Friday from 8:00 a.m. – 3:00 p.m., and Tuesday – Friday of next week from 8:00 a.m. – 6:00 p.m.
