ANNA, Ill. (WJPF) — The State Board of Education has rejected Anna-Jonesboro High School’s request to use federal COVID-19 money on a new artificial turf for their football field.

The school wanted to use about $900,000 of taxpayer funds for that project.

Supporters said the field would be used by all students in P.E. classes and not just for the boys football team.
