An overnight fire has caused severe damage to a Benton business.

The fire started at Rend Lake Carbide on Skylane Drive, and fire crews arrived on the scene just after 9 pm. The building partially collapsed while crews were battling the blaze.

The building is not considered a total loss, however it took crews more than four hours to put the fire out.

The cause of the fire has not been determined.
