A man is dead after a single-vehicle accident in Jacob.

The accident happened yesterday morning just off of IL Rt. 3, near the intersection with White Lane.

50-year old Donald Randolph of Chester was one occupant of the vehicle. Randolph suffered fatal injuries and was pronounced dead at an area hospital.

52-year old Robert Parker of Chester was the other occupant of the vehicle. Parker suffered serious injuries and was taken to a St. Louis-area hospital for further treatment.
