CARBONDALE, Ill. (WJPF) — Over $4.8 million has been released by the Pritzker administration for improvements at two southern Illinois colleges.
$4.3 million will go to SIU Carbondale to buy new sewer lines and to pay for repairs for deferred maintenance projects. $596,000 will go to Southeastern Illinois College to pay for exterior building repairs. Local matching funds will bring the total investment in the project to $794,000.
The funds are from the Rebuild Illinois plan.
