A Southern Illinois mail carrier is headed to prison.

45-year-old Seth Sorenson was sentenced Tuesday to one year and one day in prison after pleading guilty to mail theft and two counts of possession of stolen mail. The federal charges stem from three separate incidents that occurred over a four-day stretch in February, 2019.

The incidents reportedly occurred in Okawville and Collinsville. Sorenson was arrested at an apartment in Okawville, although he  reportedly maintains a permanent address in Marion.
