A car drove through the building of a Carterville Restaurant Wednesday.
It happened around 11 AM at the parking lot of the Country Cupboard Restaurant. The vehicle crashed into the north wall of the building into the downstairs dining room.
According to Assistant Police Chief John Frost, the car drove right through the wall of the building, and half of the vehicle was inside of it. The owner of the restaurant, Charlie Stevens, said that nobody was in the downstairs dining room at the time and fortunately, no one was injured. The accident only destroyed the wall, car, and some tables.
The Country Cupboard remained open after the accident. The owner of the vehicle has not been identified.
