CARBONDALE, Ill. (WJPF) — Police in Carbondale are investigating a shooting that sent one person to the hospital. 

It happened just after 11:00 p.m. Wednesday in the 400 block of East Chestnut Street. 

Police say the victim was taken to a local hospital where they were treated and released. 

No suspects have been identified. Anyone with information is asked to contact Carbondale Police.
