Changes have been made at the Anna Fire and Rescue Department that are said to make the department more efficient.
The fire station will no longer have a firefighter on staff 24 hours a day. Instead, one firefighter will be present from 8 am to 10 pm on weekdays, and from 8 am to 4 pm on weekends.
Authorities say this will not affect emergency response times, as firefighters will now be dispatched from home if an emergency were to take place.
Other fire departments in the area have a similar method of dispatching firefighters from home.
