With the postponement of the Loyola-Bradley men’s basketball series, the Drake-Southern Illinois men’s basketball series (Jan. 3-4) from Knapp Center in Des Moines, Iowa, will now have national television exposure both days. Drake (11-0) has set a school record for wins to begin a season, while Southern Illinois (7-1) won its first seven games for the first time as an MVC member.
In a cooperative move between the Conference, ESPN, CBS Sports Network, Mediacom Xtream (Des Moines) and the participating institutions, the following coverage will occur for both games:
Sunday, Jan. 3 – Southern Illinois @ Drake (ESPNU) – 5 p.m. CT
Monday, Jan. 4 – Southern Illinois @ Drake (CBS Sports Network) – 6 p.m. CT
The Sunday game was originally scheduled to tip at 2 p.m. CT. Schedule updates throughout the season will be posted on mvc-sports.com.
