MURPHYSBORO, Ill. (WJPF) — Mike Mills, founder of 17th Street Barbecue, has died.

Mills’ daughter announced his passing Tuesday from what’s being called a non-covid illness.

Mills won numerous barbeque competitions across the country. In 2010, he was inducted into the barbecue hall of fame.

Funeral arrangements are incomplete at this time.
