BYRON, Ill. (AP) — Days before he’s set to take office, Gov.-elect Bruce Rauner will be flying into several of Illinois’ smaller and midsized communities.
He starts the two-day tour this morning with a stop in the community of Byron outside Rockford. After that he will visit Casey, Grayville and Benton. The tour will visit other cities tomorrow.
His team has dubbed it the “Ready to Work Tour.”
Rauner won’t be stopping in any of the state’s major media markets.
Festivities for Rauner’s inauguration will begin on Sunday.
