ST. LOUIS – The SIU men’s basketball program’s Missouri Valley Conference schedule was announced today. The Salukis open MVC play at home on New Year’s Eve against defending league tournament champion Bradley.

The league’s 10 teams will play a double round-robin format — home and away on campus sites. SIU will announce a non-conference schedule, television designations, and ticket procedures at a later date. Arch Madness is scheduled for March 4-7 in St. Louis.

SIU’s 2020-21 team features eight newcomers added to a core returning group that includes two of the top freshmen in the MVC last season, 2020 MVC Newcomer of the Year Marcus Domask (13.6 ppg) and Lance Jones (9.3 ppg). The Salukis enter the second year of the Bryan Mullins era in 2020-21. Mullins, an SIU alum who led the Salukis to the 2007 Sweet Sixteen as a player, was the runner-up for MVC Coach of the Year in his first season leading the program.
