CHICAGO, Ill. (WJPF) — Illinois will be home to two of five new National Quantum Information Science Research Centers.
They’ll be located at the Argonne National Laboratory and the Fermi National Accelerator Laboratory, both are near Chicago.
Governor JB Pritzker says each project will receive $115 million in federal funding. $200 million in state funding will be put towards the initiative as well through the Rebuild Illinois program.
